Parent Education
In early November, we met with families in both Canton and Grosse Pointe to talk about music development for young children during the Parent Education Events. If you were not able to attend, please do ask your teacher if you have any questions and pick up a guide to musical development that provides in depth insight for development at each age stage from birth to 5 years old.

Register for Winter Semester Now!
The Winter semester starts the week of January 13. You and your child(ren) will learn twenty-five new songs and many new activities to enjoy in class and at home. Your children will love playing follow the leader during Follow me Down to Carlow, Counting the Stars while rocking in your arms during Great Big Stars, and thinking up favorite treats from Grandma for “Trot to Grandma’s House.” Tuition includes materials for at home, a family newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas, and a special Teddy Bear Picnic!
Have a wonderful time visiting with family and friends during the holidays! If your family needs some down time getting ready for or resting between events, check out Pandora’s Music Together station to hear past favorites and hear songs from future collections. Also, remember the power of music to bring people of all ages together. Singing holiday songs together can help create cheer for everyone and remind us of the magic of the season and being together.
Hummingbirds Music Together thanks your family for being part of our extended family in 2013 and we look forward to singing together in 2014!
