Test your songwriting ability by using the Google Doodle Guitar. Record a song 30 seconds or less to win a free T-Shirt and 25 dollar cash prize! The Google Doodle Guitar appeared on Google’s homepage a while back and it’s pretty cool and easy to play. You can drag the mouse over the strings or use your computer keyboard’s numerical buttons to play. This software guitar is tuned to the Key of G Major and has 10 total notes. The 1 plays G, 2-A, 3-B, 4-C, 5-D, 6-E, 7-F#, 8-G, 9-A, 0-B. Recording is easy to do. Simply click the record button then use the mouse, the buttons or a combination of both to play the guitar and record what you play. There is a maximum of 30 seconds record time. If you complete your recording before 30 seconds then just click the record button again. The record button will start flashing at about 25 seconds then stop automatically at 30 seconds. After the recording is complete there will be a link generated. Copy the link and put it in your web browser or share it with friends. It’s really very simple and a whole bunch of fun. Using the mouse allows you to emulate a guitar strumming sound while playing the number keys gives it more of a picking sound. You can also play chords by playing the number keys together. This may work better for some piano players. Have fun and we look forward to your song submissions!
Have fun and be sure to tell all of your friends. You can post as many songs as you wish.
