GP Music Academy in Canton Township is quickly becoming a popular place for music lessons in the western wayne county area. The original location in Grosse Pointe Park expanded to offering a 2nd location which currently features Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons, Violin Lessons, Viola Lessons, Voice Lessons, and Music Together classes.
Private guitar lessons are offered for those wanting to study intensively or just casually. We can help prepare you for a career in playing electric guitar, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, and various styles. We can also help you to learn just some basic fundamentals that makes playing music fun and interesting at home or wherever.
Piano Lessons are offered for those wanting to learn classical music or contemporary music. Many people come in and want to learn how to play tunes that they know quickly. We will help ensure that you can learn at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Bass guitar students can choose to play acoustic bass or electric bass of 4, 5, or 6 strings.
Singing lessons are available for those wanting to sing classical music or contemporary music.
Drum lessons are available for any style or level of Drum kit playing.
Violin and Viola lessons are available for all students of any age with an appropriately sized instrument.
Music Together is a program for infants, toddlers, and parents. We offer a mixed age group class of birth – 5 years old. This class develops musicianship in the most natural and nurturing way leading to easier transitions into further music instruction as the children age.

We are located in the Canton-Ford Crossing on the East side of N. Canton Center Rd. This new Music School location was opened up in September of 2011 and now is home to almost 100 students. We credit this to our hardworking staff and outstanding music teachers.
